The Extralink Sedir media converter facilitates the conversion of transmissions between FTP/UTP copper cables and the SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) optical transmitter-receiver. This device from Extralink is engineered to address the growing demands for Ethernet deployment, allowing networks to extend via fiber optic cable up to a maximum distance of 80 km, depending on the SFP module used. Installation and operation are straightforward, and the device’s status can be easily monitored through a set of diagnostic LEDs located on the front panel.
