The HPE 652241-B21 is a black optical drive designed for server use. It features a tray disc loading type and is a DVD±RW drive with a Serial ATA interface. The drive has an 8x write speed for DVD+R and a 24x write speed for CD-R, while the CD-RW write speed is 16x. In terms of reading performance, the drive can read CD-Rs and CD-ROMs at 24x speed and DVD+Rs at 8x speed. It also offers an average random access time of 140 milliseconds for CD-ROMs.
