The HPE Xeon E5-2640 v4 belongs to the Intel Xeon E5 v4 processor family. It uses the LGA 2011-v3 socket and features 14 nm processor lithography. This processor supports quad-channel memory and can handle a maximum internal memory of 1.54 TB, with DDR4-SDRAM as the supported memory type. It is designed for the server market segment and supports AVX 2.0 instruction sets. The processor is scalable up to 2 sockets and is compatible with the DL180 GEN9.
