The Ubiquiti Networks EdgeRouter ER-12 is a high-performance router designed to deliver exceptional performance and flexibility. With the capability of processing up to 3.4 million packets per second and achieving a line rate of up to 6.8 Gbps, it offers a next-generation price/performance value. The router features ten Copper Gigabit Ethernet ports and two independent SFP ports, providing ample deployment flexibility and versatile networking options. Additionally, it supports Layer-2 switching.
The design of the EdgeRouter 12 allows for rack mounting using the EdgeRouter Rack Mount Kit, model ER-RMKIT, which is sold separately. This feature enhances its versatility and integration into various network setups.
For ease of management, the EdgeRouter 12 is supported by UNMS (Ubiquiti Network Management System), a comprehensive controller equipped with an intuitive user interface. It allows centralized management by providing a single control plane that efficiently manages registered EdgeMAX devices across multiple locations.
