The fiber optic splice cover is 45mm in length and comes as a single piece. These covers are flexible, heat-shrinkable components designed to reduce their volume when heated. They include stainless steel rods for extra mechanical protection of the weld. After shrinking, the casing ensures that the weld area is shielded from mechanical damage, and it also protects against moisture and various types of contamination.
