Unboxing: PoE Switch Compatibility for UAPs and UVCs
This product description details the compatibility between various models of Ubiquiti UAPs (UniFi Access Points) and UVCs (UniFi Video Cameras) with different PoE switch models. The table below lists the AP/Camera models alongside the compatible switch models:
1. **Camera Models:**
– UVC-G3 is compatible with US-8, US-8-60W, US-8-150W, US-16-150W, US-24-250W, and US-24-500W.
– UVC-G3-DOME works with all listed switch models.
2. **UAP Models:**
– UAP is compatible with US-8, US-8-60W, US-8-150W, US-16-150W, US-24-250W, and US-24-500W.
– UAP-LR has the same compatibility as the UAP.
– UAP-PRO, UAP-AC-LITE¹, UAP-AC-LR¹, UAP-AC-PRO, UAP-AC-M, UAP-AC-M-PRO, UAP-AC-IW², and UAP-AC-IW-PRO² are all compatible with every switch model listed.
3. **Additional Notes:**
– The UniFi switch must be used for compatibility.
– Some models may require an Instant 802.3af Gigabit PoE Converter.
– 802.3at power is needed for UAP-AC-IW and UAP-AC-IW-PRO, while the switch only provides 802.3af.
4. **Compatibility Requirements:**
– UAP-AC-LITE and UAP-AC-LR models produced before September 2016 need the Instant 802.3af Gigabit PoE Converter.
– PoE passthrough for UAP-AC-IW and UAP-AC-IW-PRO is supported by all switches except US-8 and US-8-60W.
