The Ubiquiti Networks UDM UniFi Dream Machine is designed for both home and enterprise users who want to build and manage small-scale wired or WiFi networks easily while monitoring device activity. It serves as an entry point into the UniFi ecosystem.

The UDM includes an integrated 4×4 enterprise access point that delivers high-performance Wi-Fi, making it suitable for high-density environments as part of a larger enterprise network. It offers an integrated security gateway with advanced firewall policies and persistent threat management, functioning as an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and Intrusion Detection System (IDS).

With its integrated cloud key, the UniFi Network Application can quickly provision UniFi devices, map networks, and manage system traffic efficiently. The UDM also includes a managed 4-port Gigabit switch, ideal for adding network storage or wired client devices.

Security is a top priority, with advanced firewall policies and threat management. Automatic Quality of Service (QoS) prioritizes voice and video traffic for clear calls and smooth streaming. It supports convenient VLAN creation for secure network segmentation and includes a VPN server for secure internet communications via site-to-site VPN.

Additional features of the UDM include a high-performance 802.11ac 4×4 Wave 2 dual-band access point, a managed 4-port Gigabit switch, and an advanced security gateway with internet threat management and deep packet inspection. It comes with a pre-installed UniFi Network application and is powered by a fast, 1.7 GHz quad-core processor. The system allows for scalable deployments by connecting additional UniFi devices.

Key specifications include four LAN 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports and one WAN 10/100/1000 RJ45 port, an Arm Cortex-A57 quad-core processor running at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of DDR RAM, and 16 GB of on-board flash storage. The device measures 110 mm in diameter and 184.2 mm in height.
